El Encanto in Scottsdale

Service was a little slow because they were very busy, but the waitress was cheerful and helpful. The food was excellent, especially the seafood enchiladas which were the special. There's a good reason why they are so busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there.

At the first moment you enter that restaurant the stuff gives you a nice feeling. Very comfortable hosts, it is a lovely place to enjoy with friends or with your date. heavenly meals, creative chef, reasonable pay and nice service. Highly recommended.

Love it! Best Mexican food in town. My wife loves the enchilada red sauce. I'm a Scottsdale native and Cave Creek resident, and my family has been going to El Encanto since the original owner opened the restaurant. My kids love the feeding the ducks and geese and watching them in the pond.

Steak fajitas are to die for!! They melt in your mouth! 3 flavours of salsa that are all very delicious. Beautiful place with a pond in the center with ducks and turtles to entertain you! The building has amazing character and architecture!

Waited over an hour with reservations and when we were seated, there and the service was terrible. Server was nice but took forever with everything. Food was mediocre at best. Would not recommend this place.

Awesome atmosphere, in open area with a duck pond and huge trees. Food was great, would do 4.5 stars over all if I could.

The chicken enchiladas are to die for here! The location is cute, a little hard to get to the parking as some customers dont park in the correct spots but not a big deal. The servers are nice! I love the water in the restaurant with the ducks and fishes

The place is beautiful. The food if you’re Hispanic you know this is not good Mexican food. The fish is a filet which they don’t mention on their menu at all. We educated the waitress and she seemed unapologetic. Honestly would not recommend at all. The bbq place down the street is way better. We visit this little town often enough and it was a mistake to wander into El Encanto.

Been at this location numerous times. I enjoy the indoor dining with the natural feeling of being at a park watching birds, turtles, fish, and fellow dining participants within this seasoned with a loving-touch large pond ecosystem. Already salivating from the memory of the meals.

Ordered 3 entree items to go. Plato burro ordered pollo asada with a red sauce, got carne asada with a mole sauce, ordered a side of fried jalapenos which were on the menu, received a single sliced jalapeno, slightly grilled so I paid $2 for a single jalapeno.... Ordered 2 carne asada tacos, they weren't in the order, had to wait for the order taker to get them added to the togo bag.

Excellent service and the food was amazing. I ordered their famous pollo fundido with rice and beans. My husband ordered beef enchiladas. We both loved the food.

I love to come here with my family, everyone loves the food and my grandson loves to feed the turtles and ducks!

This place was the most elegant Mexican Food Restaurants I have ever seen. I say that its better than the place at the Princess. Not quite as roomy as the Princess but the views of the lake really is unique. And its very welcoming. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was so very friendly explaining the menu to me so I could understand . My fiancee and I had a blast walking around the lake and if i ask the staff has food ro feed the ducks. There was plenty of family's there with children of all ages . This place gets 5 stars . PS make a reservation for a table or booth with a lake view.

This spot is wonderful and broad, the food was yummy and the prices were very affordable. quickly, efficient service and very affable waiters. Recommended.

First time here at this restaurant. When we walked in we said we wanted to sit inside, we were told we had to wait even though there were many tables open. I overheard the host say that she wasn’t going to seat us in this one waiters section because he had enough already, and that we could just wait five minutes to be sat. So that was rude. But our waitress was very nice once we finally did get sat. The food was excellent! And the view and surroundings are amazing. It is soo amazing in there! I was blown away by just that!

I love everything about this restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff are super friendly and you can't beat the ambiance. I come here every time I'm in Cave Creek and in the mood for the BEST Mexican food. They even have a Mariachi singer in the evenings. It's one of my favorite restaurants ever. ❤

Beautiful setting watching birds, ducks and turtles in the water.

El Encanto never disappoints, even in a pandemic. The big thing is the ambience: old-world Mexican look, pond with white ducks swimming, mosaics set into the walls. All that and good Mexican fare. Their menu is limited, but we found it still to be more than sufficient, with nice service. Worth the drive!

Food is really good and drinks are amazing. Vert authentic. Fun atmosphere with the ducks, fish and turtle pond. didn't distract from dinner at all. The kids are able to feed them as well. Overall great experience and would recommend.

Place is busy, get there early, but it is worth it. Started with a pitcher of margaritas which were good, but after adding more like they were great. Started with the corn elotes, they are a must have. We then had the seafood and steak dishes that were very good. Got a side order of guacamole to add to our dishes and this helped a lot.

Aghhh! Words cannot describe the amazingness of this special spot! The outdoor seating is the coolest spot in Cave Creek. The restaurant is a must try while in town. The food is AH-mazing. Staff were friendly and wonderful.

Loved it! Loved the pond that is situated in the center, complete with living animals. If that sounds unappealing to you, I say YOU JUST GOTTA TRY IT! The Cuisine was superb! The level of cleanliness was great and the employees where's helpful efficient and friendly I can't wait to go back! I think it goes without saying that I would recommend this establishment to anybody that enjoys Mexican Cuisine!

The chips and salsa were delicious! We only had drinks, but the prickly pear margarita was exceptional. The pond was nice, it was lovely to see the turtles and ducks.

I had the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. It was great. Pair that up with a Cadillac Margarita and it is a great day. Issue the bartender was fantastic. This is the place to go in Cave Creek.*EDIT* Back again for drinks right after the virus shut down. Great margaritas! Super staff!

Been quite a few years since the last time. Different than before. Not bad, just different. In fairness, they are working with a reduced menu right now.

The only thing that was decent was the service. We tried the pollo fundito that everyone raves about, the chicken was extremely dry and the tortilla was completely over cooked. The carne asada was burnt, small chunks of beef. I guess it's only good if you've never actually had authentic Mexican cuisine, and there isn't any other restaurant offering "Mexican" food for miles.

Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view. The indoor mixed with environment so well. The food was great as well. Loved the taco salad!

Great place! We sat at the bar and had the best service. Great margaritas and really good food. Longer wait times during peak hours but worth the wait.

It is all about the scenery, the food ain’t good nor bad, just average, When they closed due to obvious reasons, the scenery was gone, as well as any reason to eat there, and why would you with subpar prices? Apparently an employee contracted coronavirus, just to let y’all know, take this as you may.

El Encanto is my favorite restaurant in Cave Creek. It never disappoints. The pollo fundido is always delicious and their margaritas are the best, especially on the patio by the pond.

Always a nice place to grab a bite. U must eat outside on the patio for the full experience. Great staff.

The salsas were great! I loved the food! I got the carnitas burro which was perfect! Portion sizes are reasonable. We definitely loved the pond and the tables next to the window of the pond are great for kids!

Not impressed. Service was slow and food was not hot and too dry. Margaritas were too sweet but the guacamole was great.

The food was mediocre. Trent was the waiter and did a great job so he was to be commended. BUT the biggest problem was the horrific smell of duck and goose poop from the pond in the middle of the restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant solely because of this!

If you happen to be in the Delightful town of CAVE CREEK/AZ treat yourself ( and your family/friends ) to Mexican food at EL ENCANTO. This place has been here for Decades, and should be a "GO TO" for tourists and locals alike. No matter what you order you will not be sorry. They used to have WEDDINGS in the Oversized yard-- maybe still do. El ENCANTO means The Enchanted. I'd say it is aptly named. ENJOY!

Such an amazing dinner experience! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave is has you planning when you'll visit again.To have the full experience, indulge in the cheese dip, sit by the pond and relax.

This is one of our favorite Mexi spots in town. The best Pollo Fundido, margs and Carnitas! Relaxing indoor/out door space too w/the pond and mature landscaping... it has it all!

I enjoyed the ambiance and watching the turtles and birds in the lagoon. The food is good and service was attentive. Salsa was spicy and chips crisp. It is a tourist stop for sure.

Both venue & food are better, more authentic than any chain Mexican restaurant. Area may be trendy but the food & atmosphere are honest. Pleasant & helpful staff. Easy parking. Second time here, will return again.

We were there with a large group. Service worked very hard and handled the group very well. Great atmosphere out in the courtyard. Food was above average and the prices were quite reasonable. We would return and not be afraid to bring guests. Fun town surrounding the restaurant.

My go-to Mexican food place in Cave Creek. I've been coming here for years. The fajitas are great. It gets busy during the winter months due to snow bird season. They offer outdoor seating with heaters in the winter and it's quite nice. Chips and salsa with a cold beer always hits the spot.

😍😍😍 Super good food, no matter what you order. The atmosphere was completely relaxing and peaceful. The staff was very friendly as well. We'll be back for sure.
